Anthony Perrone

Anthony Perrone, MD, serves as chief of plastic surgery at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. In this position, which he has held since 2014, Anthony Perrone, MD, leads a team of surgical professionals and manages one of the busiest surgical divisions in the hospital.

An experienced plastic surgeon, Dr. Perrone's practice focuses on providing care and reconstructive surgeries for patients suffering from congenital conditions, traumatic injuries, or the aftereffects of oncological treatments and processes. Prior to his current position, Dr. Perrone served as a plastic surgeon at Tufts Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital. He also served as a plastic surgeon at Shriners Hospitals for Children in Boston, where he provided plastic and reconstructive surgeries for children from around the world suffering from traumatic burn injuries.

Dr. Anthony Perrone holds a BS in chemistry from the College of the Holy Cross and a BS in pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He simultaneously earned his MD from Dartmouth Medical School and his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

Dr. Perrone went on to complete a residency in general surgery and a fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Rochester University. He later served as a fellow of hand and microsurgery at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital.
